Another forming process whereby mixed powdered metals are compressed into a high precision mould and then a secondary process called ‘solid state’ sintering is applied, it effectively bakes the parts allowing the properties to bond and become hard and durable.

Such processing has specific economic advantages in that parts of unusual shapes and sizes can be formed without the need for extensive machining. When machining is required (for example a tapped hole) the process becomes manual and here in China we remain very competitive.
